Aesc continues his forays into the lands of the British.
In celebration of his great victory in capturing the wagon train Aesc held a summer’s eve feast to which he invited his strongest warriors investing them with great gifts. To Eastmund a torque of bright gold; to Paega a jewel hilted sword of finest steel and to his hearth troop weapons and armour of Roman make. Through this his men declared him their Warlord and swore oaths of fealty at the meadhall.
Once more Aesc’s coffers are empty but his men are loyal and strong and the British seem ripe for conquest so he once more sets out to raid into Rhegin in search of treasure.
